Daboll's Giants Stumble in 2024

Brian Daboll, the head coach of the New York Giants, is currently facing significant challenges in his third season with the team. After an initial turnaround in 2022, where he led the Giants to a 9-7-1 record and a playoff victory, the team has struggled to maintain that success. The Giants regressed to a 6-11 record in 2023, and their 2024 season has been marked by turmoil, with a current record of 2-9 as of late November.

Daboll’s tenure has been complicated by injuries, inconsistent quarterback play, and offensive struggles. Although initially praised for his offensive strategies and leadership, his performance this season has placed him firmly on the coaching "hot seat." Team owner John Mara has publicly supported Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen, expressing a desire for stability after cycling through several head coaches in recent years. However, continued poor performance could test that stance, especially given the Giants' declining attendance and fan dissatisfaction.

Daboll’s efforts to improve the team have included taking over offensive play-calling duties and incorporating new talent, such as rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers. Despite these changes, the team has failed to meet expectations, raising speculation about whether Daboll’s job is secure beyond the 2024 season
